Miniature Society Mission Statement

At the Miniature Society, our mission is to foster a community of enthusiasts dedicated to the art and craft of miniatures. We aim to inspire creativity, share knowledge, and cultivate a supportive environment where individuals of all skill levels can come together to learn, create, and appreciate the intricate world of miniatures. Through workshops, collaborative projects, exhibitions, and educational resources, we strive to preserve and promote the rich tradition of miniature crafting, while encouraging innovation and new techniques. From model cars, trains, railways to dollhouses, our society celebrates the passion and detail that goes into every tiny creation, and we are committed to nurturing the joy and camaraderie that comes from this unique and timeless craft.

We are a 501 3 c organization that promoties membership. This not-for-profit group dedicated to the artistry, craft, collection, preservation and education of the world of miniatures. Our focus is on dollhouse, dollhouse furniture and accessories, however, small scales such as model cars and trains that fit the various scales in the realm of dollhouses is also a welcomed art.

We work in all kinds of scales, mediums and welcome those that don’t work any anything yet but want to learn more! Model trains, railroads, cars, dolls, dollhouses, furniture, mini needlepoint, felting and other accessories are just part of what we will explore. I hope you will join us!

Our Top Priorities

Educational Advancement

Our priority is to provide comprehensive educational resources and hands-on workshops for members to enhance their skills and knowledge in miniature crafting.

We will do this by offer regular classes, tutorials, and seminars led by experienced artisans, covering a wide range of techniques and materials

Exhibition and Promotion

Allowing members and visitors to showcase the artistry and craftsmanship of miniatures through exhibitions, competitions, and public displays will encourage membership and interest in miniatures to grow.

In order to do this we will host annual exhibitions and competitions, partner with galleries and museums, and promote member creations through various media channels to raise awareness and appreciation of miniature art. Eventually, the goal will be to obtain our own space to allow visitors to the area to visit and learn about our craft.

Community Building

Another priority is to foster a welcoming and inclusive community where members can connect, collaborate, and share their passion for miniatures.

To do this we will organize social events, collaborative projects, and online forums to encourage interaction and support among members of all skill levels.

Preservation and Innovation

An important priority is to preserve the rich tradition of miniature crafting while encouraging innovation and the adoption of new techniques and technologies.

Traditional craft persons will be invited to share techniques used so that the rich legacy can be preserved. However,we will support research and experimentation with new materials and methods, document and archive traditional techniques, and create opportunities for members to explore and develop contemporary approaches to miniature art.
